Indian Air Force offers opportunities for unmarried males from designated Districts of the State of Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram to become airmen as per the detail provided:.
Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 01 July 1991 to 30 September 1995 (both days inclusive).
Educational Qualification:
(a) For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) {For Automobile Technician and Indian Air Force (Police)} Trades: Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science, Arts orCommerce subjects or equivalent vocational courses with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Vocational course should be recognized by Association of Indian Universities.
OR
Three year Diploma in any stream of Engineering from a Government recognised Polytechnic Institute.
(b) For Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades. Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
Three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50%marks in overall aggregate from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute
Medical Standards
(i) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(ii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
(iii) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
(iv) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
(v) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
(vi) Health: Candidate should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
Selection Procedure: Written Test, Physical fitness test, Trade Allocation test,Interview, Medical Examination.
How to apply--Venue and Important dates and Time:
Candidates should report for Recruitment Rally from 26-07-2012 to 02-08-2012 at Tripura Sports School Badharghat, Agartala (Tripura). Applications forms must be filled in and submitted at the venue and form will be made available there. The test will be conducted from 7am to 10am at the Rally Venue
