Combined Defence Services Examination (II)- CDS 2012
 A Combined Defence Services Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 16th September, 2012 for admission to the courses mentioned below.
Indian Military Academy Dehradun: 250 seats
Naval Academy Goa-40 seats
Air Force Academy, Hyderabad: 32 seats
Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Men): 175 seats
Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai   Women Non-Technical Course-15 seats


Eligibility
Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status :
For Indian Military Academy Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July,1987 and not later than 1st July,1993 only are eligible.
For Navel Academy Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 (2nd July, 1988 in case of Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders) and not later than 1st July, 1993 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1989 and not later than 1st July, 1993 only are eligible.
For Officer's Training Academy Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier 2nd July, 1987 and not later than 1st July, 1993 only are eligible.
For Officers Training Academy-Women: Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees in possession of divorce documents who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July,1988 and not later than 1st July, 1994.
Educational Qualification : 
For Indian Military Academy and Officer's Training Academy Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
For Naval Academy B.Sc (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering.
For Air Force Academy Degree of a recognised University (with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
 Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing by the specified dates published in Commission's Notice for Examination.
Physical Standards: As per rules of admission to the Combined Defence Services Examination.
Fee: Rs.200/- to be paid in any branch of the SBI by cash or through the netbanking services of the SBI,or, through Credit/Debit card.
Female/SC/ST candidates exempted.
Application forms can also be purchased from the from the designated Head Post Office/Post Offices (specified in Appendix-III of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/-. Each such form can be used only once and only for one examination
