NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (NET) EXAMINATION-2013

Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) has extended the date for holding the NET Examination from 20/01/2013 to 24/02/2013

NET is a qualifying examination for determining eligibility for Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and other Agricultural Universities (AUs). Candidates clearing the National Eligibility Test will be eligible for  the post of Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the SAUs/AUs. NET Certificates will be issued to the candidates by the A.S.R.B. to the qualified candidates to enable them to apply against vacancies to be notified or advertised by the State Agricultural Universities. SAUs/AUs will consider their eligibility through interview or any such other tests as devised for recruitment of Lecturers or Assistant Professors.

Qualification for NET: Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline with specialization completed on or before 1st August, 2012.,

Age Limit : 21 years as on 0/08/2012. There is no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Examination Fee : Rs. 1000/- (Rs.500/- for OBC and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) payable through a Crossed Bank Draft drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB  at New Delhi. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft.

How to apply: Application complete in all respects with the examination fee DD should reach  the Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan, Pusa, New Delhi-110012  by post or delivered in person on or before 20/11/2012   up to 30/11/2012.

 Last date for far flung areas is  extended from  04/12/2012  to 14/12/2012
