Meghalaya Police invites applications from citizens and who are domiciled in the State of Meghalaya for filling up 1298 posts as per the following detail: .

Unarmed Branch  Group

1. Unarmed Branch Constables: 598 posts
2. Firemen: 15 posts
3. Driver Firemen: 03 posts
4. MPRO Operator Constables: 60 posts
5. Signals Operators of IRBN: 63 posts
Armed Branch Group
1. Armed Branch Constables: 258 posts
2. State Battalion Constables & IRBN Constables: 170 posts
3. Handyman Constables: 08 posts
4. Rider Constables: 02 posts
5. MPRO (General Duty) Constables: 05 posts
6. Mechanics: 01 posts
7. Driver Constables: 59 posts
Follower Group
1. Followers of DEF/ State Battalions including IRBN: 56 posts

Pay Scale:.1. UB Group:  8300-210-9770- EB -270-12200-370-16270/-

2.AB Group: Matriculates 8300-210-9770-EB -  270-12200-370-16270/-

Non matriculates : Class IX Passed – 7700-190-9030-EB-250-11280-340-15

3. Follower Group: 6500-160-7620- EB -210-9510-290-12700/-

Age Limit: 18 to 21 years for Unarmed and Armed Branch Constables and 18 to 27 years for Followers Group

Educational Qualification: Class IX / 10+2 for Unarmed and Armed Branch Constables and Class V for followers

Application Fee: Application forms available for Rs.50/- from the offices of all District Superintendents of Police and Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Mawroh Shillong.

Selection Procedure: Physical Efficiency Tests, Written Examination, Interview and Medical Test.

How to Apply: Applications on prescribed format should be submitted  on or before 15-11-2012.
