ASFSO Recruitment of 84 Fireman, Sub Station Officer and Rescuers

DIRECTOR, STATE FIRE SERVICE ORGANISATION, ASSAM, GUWAHATI.

Jobs for  Firemen, Sub-Officers and  Emergency Rescuers  in Assam  State Fire Service Organization –– Advt No. HMB. 200/2009/148

Applications are invited from eligible male candidates ordinarily resident of the State of Assam for filling up 84 posts in the ranks shown bellow :

1. Fireman : 58 Posts (UR – 29 ; OBC /MOBC – 18 ; SC – 03 ; ST/P – 05 ; ST/H – 03)

Pay Scale : (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2100/-

Qualification : H.Sc. (Science) pass or equivalent, additional weightage for candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.

Age Limit : 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2012

2. Sub – Officer: 15 Posts (UR – 07 ; OBC/MOBC – 04 ; SC – 02 ; ST/P – 02)

Pay Scale : (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-

Qualification : H.Sc. (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics .Additional weightage fpr  the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving

Age Limit : 20 to 24 years as on 01-01-2012.

3.  Emergency Rescuer : 07 Posts (UR – 04 ; OBC/MOBC – 02 ; ST/P – 01)

Pay Scale : (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2100/-

Qualification : H.Sc. (Science) pass or equivalent. Additional weightage for candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.

Age Limit : 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2012

4. Station Officer: 04 Posts (UR – 02 ; OBC/MOBC – 02)

Pay Scale : (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 3300

Qualification : B.Sc. (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Additional weightage the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.

Age Limit : 20 to 24 years as on 01-01-2012.

Physical Standards for (All categories ) :  Height :- The minimum height for a candidate shall be 160 cm (5’ – 4”) but in case of candidates belonging to ST – (H) and ST – (P) the minimum height shall be 157.5 cm (5’ – 3”). ; Chest:-77.7 cm  (31”) in normal position and 82.5cm (33”) in expansion.

How to Apply : Applications in Standard Form along with 3 (three) copies of recent passport size photographs one of which should be pasted on the application form with attested copies of Certificates should reach  the Addl. Director General of Police Cum- Director of State Fire Service Organisation, Assam, Panbazar, Guwahati – 1 on or before  14th December 2012
